Every Day We Fight: target the remaining armor pieces
Check six places: head, chest, left arm, right arm, left leg and right leg. Aim at an intact piece and inspect the damage preview before firing.
An armor-stripping objective can go wrong when your next shot hits exposed health instead of an intact plate.
On this page
Use a six-location check
| Location | What to check |
|---|---|
| Head | Is the head plate still visibly present? |
| Chest | Are you hitting armor or an already exposed torso? |
| Each arm | Check both sides separately. |
| Each leg | Check both sides separately. |
Change the target when a plate breaks
- Enter Aim View and select a body part that still has armor.
- Inspect the preview for armor versus HP damage.
- Fire only when it is the intended armor hit.
- Watch for the individual piece to break away, then move your aim to another remaining piece.
What this answer covers
The developer supplied the six-part targeting rule in a late-game armor question. That thread does not identify the exact mission or enemy, so this guide gives the targeting method rather than an invented boss walkthrough.
If it does not work
- HP is dropping: stop repeating shots into an exposed region and check another armored body part.
- Aiming at the same limb does not remove armor from the other limb.
- The 1.0 notes include damage-preview corrections. If your display contradicts the model, keep the build and screenshot for a report rather than claiming a guaranteed damage threshold.
How to tell it worked
The selected armor piece visibly breaks away. For a mission, also follow its own completion tracker.
