Every Day We Fight: get a direct line of fire to a padlock
Shoot the padlock directly. Developer jeanp states that bullets do not pierce doors. If you cannot see and hit the lock, find another approach or continue to the campaign's traversal unlocks.
If the lock is on the far side of a door, firing at the near face of the door does not hit it.

Check the actual lock
- Find the padlock rather than treating the entire door as the damage target.
- Look for an angle with an unobstructed view of the lock.
- Aim directly at that object and shoot.
- If no route exposes it yet, check whether your next campaign tool is still locked instead of spending repeated attacks on the door.
Traversal tools are a different branch
The developer says two devices open different parts of the city as the campaign advances. The player identified the resonator and teleporter in their follow-up. That does not provide an exact alternate route for every door or prove a grenade destroys any wooden door.
If it does not work
- Hits on the door do nothing: recheck whether the lock itself is visible.
- A blue Elixium obstruction needs the appropriate device, not the padlock rule.
- For a location-specific blocked route, match the building and objective before following an older walkthrough.
How to tell it worked
The directly targeted lock breaks and the route becomes accessible.
