Every Day We Fight: remove Elixium encrustation with the Dart Gun
Once the campaign has given you the Resonator Dart Gun, fire a Resonator Frequency Dart into the encrustation. Stand clear first: destroying it creates a blast that can affect nearby units and breakable objects.
Elixium encrustation is a tool-gated obstruction. It is different from a padlock and from an antenna console's protective shield.
On this page
Clear the obstruction safely
- Confirm the Dart Gun is available to the selected Thorn.
- Move Thorns away from the encrustation before firing.
- Aim a Resonator Frequency Dart at the obstruction.
- Let the destruction finish, then inspect the newly opened route.
Check availability in combat
The gear reference gives each Thorn their own Dart Gun and notes a combat cooldown. A used device may therefore be temporarily unavailable; this does not establish an ammunition or grenade requirement.
If you do not have the device yet
The developer's padlock discussion says campaign progression unlocks the traversal devices. That source does not name the exact mission sequence for the current randomized 1.0 run, so this page does not invent one.
If it does not work
- No Dart Gun: follow the campaign unlock rather than assuming ordinary bullets or more grenades are required.
- Unavailable during a fight: inspect the selected Thorn's device and cooldown.
- Avoid using the blast as a guaranteed combat tactic; the source establishes a hazard, not a safe damage amount or radius.
How to tell it worked
The encrustation breaks and its blocked route or object becomes accessible.
