Every Day We Fight exploration obstacles
Every Day We Fight: open a cracked wall without wasting shots
The exploration reference says cracked weak surfaces can be blown open with explosives to reveal routes or hidden items. Use an appropriate explosive from a safe position, then inspect the opening. Ordinary intact scenery is not established as destructible by this rule.
A wall, a locked door and a blue crystal obstruction need different checks. Identify a visibly weak surface before spending an explosive.

Identify the obstruction first
| Visible obstruction | Appropriate check | Use the separate guide when |
|---|---|---|
| Cracked weak wall or surface | An explosive can open the weak surface | You need to choose a safe throw and blast angle. |
| A padlock on a door | A direct shot to the lock | The door itself blocks the bullet path. |
| Elixium encrustation | Resonator Dart Gun and safe distance | A blue crystal mass is the actual blocker. |
| An out-of-reach landing | Traversal tool and reachable height | No breakable surface is in the way. |
Check the blast and the result
- Inspect the surface from a usable view and confirm it looks cracked or otherwise marked as weak.
- Check the current explosive's item description and the throw path. Keep the squad clear of the intended blast.
- Use the explosive on the weak section, avoiding friendly positions and valuable objects in its blast.
- After the blast, inspect whether the opening is actually clear and whether it leads to a usable route.
- Collect any newly reachable item rather than treating the explosion alone as a completed discovery.
Save explosives when a different tool solves it
The dated Epic guide also describes grenades opening cracked walls and suggests looking for nearby explosive barrels. That is supporting Early Access advice, not proof that every current wall, barrel or doorway shares one damage threshold.
An encrustation blast can also damage nearby breakables according to the exploration reference. Keep its hazard in mind, but do not assume that a crystal beside a wall creates a guaranteed route without checking the actual result.
If it does not work
- No opening appears: check whether the target was a weak surface rather than ordinary scenery or the wrong obstruction type.
- The throw path is blocked: change position before spending another explosive.
- A route remains unreachable after the wall breaks: check traversal or story-tool requirements.
- No grenade remains: this page does not promise a free alternative for every wall; pursue another objective until an appropriate tool or supply is available.
How to tell it worked
The weak surface opens and the route or hidden item behind it becomes accessible without the squad standing in the blast.
