Every Day We Fight saves and campaign progress
Every Day We Fight: reach Act 2 to unlock the Thorn side quests
Each Thorn has a side quest available from the start of Act 2. Once unlocked, those missions can be completed independently of the main quest.
If you are searching for character side stories during Act 1, their campaign prerequisite has not been reached yet.

Check the campaign act first
- Confirm whether the current playthrough has reached Act 2.
- At the start of Act 2, check the available character side quests.
- Choose the side story you want to pursue; the official announcement does not require completing them in one fixed order.
Unlock timing is not a full route
The 0.9 announcement states the Act 2 prerequisite and independence from the main quest. The 1.0 release retains expanded side content and changes content randomization. This guide therefore gives the unlock condition without inventing a fixed item, room or dialogue sequence for your current run.
If it does not work
- Still in Act 1: continue the campaign to the stated prerequisite.
- Already in Act 2 but no quest appears: check the current objective list and record the character, build and save context; the source does not name an additional universal trigger.
- Do not follow a dated room-by-room Early Access route as if 1.0 randomization were verified unchanged.
How to tell it worked
The character side quest is available after reaching Act 2; you can select it independently of the main quest.
